About us
We have built a talented team that create, shoot and edit imagery to the highest quality for our clients.
Our projects range from simple stories of ordinary folk, to shooting large production commercial work.
We love a technical challenge, have an eye for detail and an appetite for nailing a brief but most of all, we love a great story.
CARING FOR OUR PLANET AND EACH OTHER
We want to work sustainably and are committed to educating ourselves and improving our production footprint. It’s why we work with AdGreen and are a part of the growing movement of Creatives For Climate. Read our sustainability policy.
It all started with me and my dad building a darkroom from an old BT van in Durham and has grown into the creative hub that is now Paul Winter Studio in Brighton.

Our Principles
Community
At the heart of the why and what we do is a community of brilliant and loyal people. Collectively, we care about our planet, each other, our clients and the communities we live and work in.
Tenacity
We won’t stop until we’ve got the very best results we can. We ensure your films and photos are the best they can be; never settling for ‘good enough’. We will always find a way.
Empathy
Our experience allows us to put ourselves in your shoes. We’re great listeners and want as much detail as possible, so that we understand your needs and how best to support you through the production.
Trust
You have our unconditional commitment that we will deliver effective and impactful work. We believe that trust holds the key to getting the most out of relationships with you and our team.
Our Team
Paul is a filmmaker, photographer and director. His experience comes from time spent on both sides of the camera and 25+ years of creating both moving and still imagery for brands across a wide range of subjects. Originally from the North East, Paul established his studio in Brighton in 2004, where he has since built a strong local team. He attributes much of his professional and personal success to the close-knit community he has fostered, which speaks to his collaborative approach.
A keen cyclist, when he’s not behind the lens, he is out on the Downs.
Claire is a producer at heart but has had experience as a client and within agency so has all points of view covered, which is useful when clients or agency aren’t around. She believes that the cost to the planet is as important a consideration in the decision-making process as the creative development and the budget. She successfully completed the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership in Business Sustainability Management.
Dom brings 25+ years of creative and commercial experience across brand, marketing, production, tech, events, design and music. He also has a decade of photography and film making experience where he helped build and run one of the UKs most successful content production companies. Having worked both agency and client side, Dom is passionate about helping clients create and deliver stories that connect.
Digital Assistant, editor and retoucher rolled into one, Ryan has an aptitude for all aspects of production, including his own photography. With an animation background and a heady passion for film he is never happier than when he is playing a supporting role, making sure that the tech is in place to keep our imagery output the best it can be.
